Are you looking for a faster, lower-cost way to an accessory dwelling unit (ADU)? ADU designers/builders who offer standard construction plan layouts that are preapproved can offer their customers the City’s fastest, lowest-cost permit process.
Did you construct an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) or convert a garage, 地下室, or room into a separate living unit — also called an ADU — without obtaining a building permit? Between now and January 2022, the City of San José is offering an ADU Amnesty Program to help you legalize your unit. 重要的是, the program improves the safety of these units and helps to expand the City’s legal housing stock.
The California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA) announced a new ADU Finance program on September 20th to help CA homeowners building an ADU pay for predevelopment costs. Homeowners working with approved lenders can receive a grant of up to $25,000 to reimburse upfront costs including site preparation, permit and impact fees, 设计成本, 和更多的. Who qualifies?
